This Sunny Coast Queen Won The QS Last Year

You just won the QS and have three months til Snapper—what are you gonna do with your time?

Go skiing in the Alps? Celebrate your ascension with copious amounts of booger sugar? "Train"?

All of these are great options if you want to twist your ankle, begin your career with a crippling addiction and/or lose a unhealthy faction of your Instagram followers.

But if you want to improve your surfing, which is really the most important thing before entering the CT, the best thing you can do for yourself is go on a surf trip. That's exactly what the 2019 Women's QS winner, Isabella Nichols, did this December.

Issy's location of choice? Indonesia—it's close, cheap, and the waves are world class (though the Sunny Coaster seemed to get partially skunked this time around).

And after watching Ms. Nichols surf, what do you think? Is the 22-year-old ready to grapple with Johanne Defay?
