Stab High’s Cinderella Kid Is Officially A Free Agent

Consider this video Kevin Schulz’s CV.

Last year, Kevin Schulz used Stab High as his personal coming out party.

Firist it was the whatever-you-call-it flip on the Freak Peak (which netted Kevin a cool $10k), then he placed second in the main event, cementing his position among the world’s best aerialists and granting him further leverage in contract negotiations.

Only problem was, Kev had signed a deal with Rusty prior to Stab High, meaning he was getting paid the “old Kevin” rate, not the “new, internationally acclaimed Kevin” rate.

Recently, Kevin’s deal with Rusty came to an end, and due to the positive relationship they’ve built over the years, Kev offered them first choice at his new proposal. Rusty told Kev that, as much as they’d love to keep on him on the team, they just weren’t able to swing the kinda cash he was looking for. According to Kevin, the split was as amicable as they come, and he remains on good terms with the whole R-dot crew.

But now, Kevin is officially a free agent. Over the past few weeks, the San Clementine has been chatting with a number of brands and mentioned “a few really exciting opportunities” in the works, but he’s yet to officially decide where he’ll land.

For any burgeoning surf co.’s out there, take a look at Kevin’s CV (above), and see if you can’t swoop him before it’s too late.
