True masculinity is being comfortable in your own skin. Or, in a pair of 15-inch trunks. RVCA were very frugal with the Polyamide for their 2017 A Place In The Sun entry, using no unnecessary material to create a 60s-nod boardshort that’s best served over some Mexican sand (but looks excellent anywhere). Minutia? A draw string-velcro combo, brass detailing, contrast maroon stitch, maroon rope lace, and the star atop the tree, an inner print of Alex Knost imagery. You can’t be surprised to discover that Mr Knost is the spirit animal of such an unapologetically concise pair of boardshorts, can you? The man practically oozes summer of ’69… and surely that’s a time capsule we’d all like to swan dive into?
