Vlogs.

Despite your feelings for or against them, these personal video diaries are going nowhere but up up up. Just look at Jamie O’, Ben Gravy, Koa Rothman, and now the newest Hawaiian rat pack – Barron Mamiya, Noah Beschen, Makana Pang, and Kalani Rivero – who comprise the Raw Cuts vlog squad.

Just this morning, Raw Cuts released the first of its bi-monthly series, which if the times are any indication, will be nothing short of a blockbuster success.

Watch as the lads tackle each other in the sand, stick crabs down each other’s shorts, and fall from ridiculous heights at Keiki’s shorebreak graveyard. It is the most teenage boy thing we’ve ever seen, and by that we mean annoyingly entertaining.

Here we asked one of Raw Cuts’ stars, Noah Beschen, what exactly the deal is.

Stab: So tell me about the Raw Cut deal? How’d this come about?
Noah Beschen: Well, we all just thought how cool it’d be if we put something out there that’s more real. We all show video clips of ourselves surfing and that will be in there also but it’s more the in-between stuff like shit-talk, laughing, bickering and just overall fun we have in and out of the water.

How did all you guys originally meet?
We all were born and raised on the North Shore of Oahu and went to the same elementary school across the street from Pipe. We’ve known each other our whole lives.

Who is the gnarliest in the air? Turns? Barrels?
Is that a trick question?

Where do you guys surf most?
Wherever is best on the North Shore. Even if that’s Keiki shorebreak [laughs].

Surf trips or just filming around home? Why strength in numbers?
Filming around home for this winter but after we all definitely want to get on some trips together. Why strength in numbers? Well we all hangout everyday as it is. We figured it’d be sick to have something cool we put out together.
