Peter Mel Films While His Son Gets Piped!

You’re undoubtedly well acquainted with Peter Mel. Whether it be his soothing-tones on the WSL webcast or his uncanny ability to paddle into oversized lumps of water. 

Now, thanks to the above seven-minute short, we’re aware that his son, John Mel, is also well equipped when it comes to shooting tubes – and there’s no better place to do that than Namibia.

As any loving father would, Pete gave up his own opportunity to get barrelled and stood behind the lens on the sand capturing John. In addition to Pete’s own footage, the clip is also comprised of the typical cinematic drone shots and jealous-inducing POV pipes – particularly the 10x tube at the end.
