Watch: Patrick Gudauskas And The Fever Island Bop
A Caribbean boogie starring San Clemente’s beloved kind-face.
We’re fond of the work presented by Vacation Club. In a time where web-edits have become increasingly mundane, overtly artistic and slow motion heavy, the folks filming and editing for the collective grant a gold glint in the internet’s dark cesspool. Their edits contain quality surfing, the right amount of kink, a soundtrack fit to the personality of their subject and are persuasive for those looking to get wet. Which is all you can ask from the contemporary surf clip.
The fickle Carribean fare was nowhere to be found in Pat Gudang’s recent slash and burn. As a result, there’s a jot of everything in this (almost) seven-minutes: aerial antics, rail grab carving turns, critical barrel sections, blow tails, shifting camera angles, breezy interludes and, of course, bongo beats.
