Oh, To Be 12-Years-Old In Southern California
Cole McCaffray has it made in the shade.
The reality of living in Southern California is this: it’s almost always sunny, almost always traficky, and almost always waist-to-chest high. Though we’re currently in the midst of a robust North Pacific flurry, it’s typically hard to find a wave with any push in SoCal’s sheltered crescent. That’s why so many people ride logs, eggs, fishes and the like.
But when you’re a 12-year-old, five-foot-tall, 85-pound grom like Cole McCafray, this is hardly something to complain about. For Cole, nearly every day is head-high+ and has the force of Thor’s hammer. Just watch this video and tell me it doesn’t look the most fun!
