Taylor Steele was nothing if not prolific during his decade-and-a-half operating as surfing’s preeminent filmmaker.
So prolific that some of his lesser works have slipped through the floorboards of surf history, though most are still truly exemplary specimens of the turn of the century amp film. Case in point: Hit & Run, the Y2K closer that was quickly buried under the weight of Momentum: Under The Influence.
