When it comes to surfboard shapers, a handful of names rise to the top.

But with 400,000 surfboards sold last year, and the industry estimated to be worth over $4 Billion (prior to the pandemic, of course), there’s one name that has been ignored in the shaping game. And that name is solely responsible for the single most popular surfboard shape in the world.
We’re talking about Chad Chadley—the genius behind the Wavestorm.
There’s not too much known about Chadley, besides the fact that he hails from Northern California and isn’t much for fame. He’s never done interviews, but we were able to meet with him in his small studio to watch the genius at work.
