I could listen to Shama Beckford talk for an eternity. 

The 24-year-old surfer has a way with words that captures the ears of all those around him. During our interviews at Vans Stab High, Central America, presented by Monster Energy, Beckford’s responses were as eloquent as they were impactful.

Shama is from the Caribbean Island of Jamaica, where he has guided the development of the local surf and skate community. The next generation of groms is in good hands, as Shama proves to be an exceptional role model, whether at sea or between the cracks of a DIY skatepark.
