Episode 2: Vans Stab High, Central America, Presented By Monster Energy
Bring an ice pack, the space cadets have been wounded.
Welcome back to Vans Stab High, Central America, presented by Monster Energy.
Last week we gave you the rundown of our Costa Rican surf-scape and introduced you to the incredible pool of diverse talent.
With the cobwebs shaken off and everyone jazzed up on Jugo de Naranja, we are officially into the nitty-gritty of deciding who will take the final four slots. Mateus Herdy and Erin Brooks were quick to establish themselves as the front runners in the men and Ladybirds divisions.
With a lofty standard set by Mateus Herdy, our competitors will have to either go huge or counter the fixed height with a more tech-savvy approach. Given the size of the sections on tap, our competitors opted for the former, which unfortunately left a significant number of surfers rummaging for ice packs on the sidelines.
This is Episode 2 of Vans Stab High, Central America, presented by Monster Energy, or as we at Stab HQ have named to it, ‘The Injury Episode.’
