Jacob Szekely Left Us This Surf Clip Before Getting Carted Off To Jail

He should have called it ‘Unchained’.

We’ve followed the story of Jacob Mario Szekely closely over the past year. Primarily because Zeke is funny, relentless, and keeps dropping quality clips on our doorstep.

Plus, we’re believers in second chances. And thus far Zeke has shown great improvement from his prior misconduct*.

Because Jacob only served small portions of his sentenced jail time over weekends and holidays during the school year, he was able to get on a few surf trips throughout the last four months, which you can watch here. Jacob still has 60 days remaining on his sentence, which he’s serving consecutively starting yesterday. With good behavior, he could get out in 45.

Zeke left this parting message, while dressed in avant-guard prison garb, on his Instagram.

“I wish it didn’t have to be like this,” Jacob states in the above clip, “but I have to clean up the wreckage of my past. This is the last two-month incarceration stint of my sentence from a year ago. I’m just looking forward to getting it over with and never having to go back. I’m super grateful for the support of my family and friends helping me learn my lesson and right my wrongs. I love you guys, and I’ll see you in a couple months.”

Along with this video admission, Jacob presented us with a clip from a recent visit to the Waco pool, where he landed varials in both directions, a superman, some standard rotations, straight airs, and ate shit on painful-looking board transfer.

Say what you will about the kid, but you must admit he’s entertaining.

*If you want to learn about Jacob’s background, including a Battery to Great Bodily Injuries charge that had him surfing in an ankle monitor for a year, before finally being sentenced to several months in county jail, on top of heavy probation, you can read that here.
