Introducing A Senegalese Pro Surfer, Cherif Fall

Our friends over at Wasted Talent recently did a feature on Senegalese pro surfer, Cherif Fall.
To summarize: Cherif is 24 years old and has surfed since he was 11. At 6’2, his style is characterized by elastic power and surprising agility. He springs in and out of maneuvers like a jumping spider. Recognizing his talent, Billabong added Cherif to their roster in 2020.
As the film explains, Cherif is less focused on his personal exploits than he is the future of Senegalese surfing.
“I’ve achieved nearly everything I wanted to achieve,” Cherif said. “But I’m sure and certain we have kids who are coming up to be really good in the near future. Surfing isn’t a thing for whites or blacks. It’s everywhere, for everyone. If you want to do it, then do it.”
