“I’m Only 115 Pounds, So I Can Jump Way Higher Than These Big Boys”
Jett Schilling promises to land an air at this year’s Stab High.
Despite valiant efforts both frontside and back, little Jett Schilling couldn’t bring down an air at last year’s Stab High.
Talking to Jett after the event, it seemed our 15-year-old competitor had forgotten to wax his nose, meaning that every time he did the front-foot shimmy on a punt, Jett would slip right off the tip. “I’m never making that mistake again,” he promised in a post-heat confessional.
As committed believers in second chances, we’ve granted Jett a spot on the 2019 Stab High roster. This is no free ride though—we’re gonna hold Jett to his word. If he doesn’t land any airs in competition, it’s 100 push-ups on the pool wall. And a swirlie.
