Finally, Some Goddamn Freesurfing From Gabriel Medina!

Gabriel Medina is one of the best surfers in the world. 

There’s no denying that. It’s a fact. Proven by his two World Titles and that time he burned Caio Ibelli at Pipe. 

But sadly, we only ever get to see Gabby surfing in a jersey. Despite the fact that he’s in the water daily, Medina has kept his freesurfing clips under lock and key. For what reason, we can’t be sure. But the video above changes that. 

Back in early 2019, when Medina’s pre-Keramas vacation saw him spontaneously compete in a QS 3,000, he visited South Sumatra with teammate Matt Wilko and sampled the local juice—it was sweet with just the right amount of punch. And Indo’s resident Santa Cruzian, Timmy Ridenour (aka @timmmytoes), was there to capture their taste test.
