Did You Miss Alana Blanchard’s Short Film?
The soon-to-be Mrs. Freestone on what surfing means to her.
Alana attempts to describe that feeling that only a surfer knows.
That feeling that makes waking up before the sun easy, and sleeping through the night before hard,
The one that motivates you to paddle back out after getting caught on the inside for 25 minutes,
The feeling that is responsible for sore shoulders, burnt lips, and heavy eyes,
It’s the feeling that fuels countless hours in the car checking spots, burning gas, and dodging parking tickets,
And it’s the one that puts an anxious smile on your face when you see pumping waves up and down the beach.
It’s hard to put it into words, so we’ll let Alana do that for us.
