Watch: Cola Bros In ‘Lunch Box’

JJF/Pyzel have made the idea of riding the same board at each of the three triple crown locations (Sunset, Pipe and Hale’iwa) less egregious in recent years with John’s mind-blowing performances on his 6’2” Ghost. In the latest episode of The Pickup we tasked North Shore warlord and Stab editor, Kuio Young with testing that theory. (Spoiler alert: it doesn’t work equally for everyone). 

‘Lunch Box’ is Griff and Crosby Colapinto on longer boards in bigger waves – i.e. the rule of thumb. Personally, a big fan of the longer, more needle-ly equipment particularly with their modern approach to more traditional outlines – Don’t throw out the step-ups with the bathwater just yet. Also note the stunning Quik x Stab kit Griff wears with much aplomb.
