Bobby Martinez, Nathaniel Curran, And Britt Merrick Go On Lunch Break

The Ultra Joe is the antidote to sloppy surf… or just poor ability.

Oh what I’d do for some soft and forgiving walls like the above. And considering it’s a Sunday, the day after Saturday, it’s safe to assume there’s a number of you out there feeling less than stellar.

While you might be too incapacitated to get to actually go surfing, this little edit from Channel Islands is an enjoyable snack to keep you entertained between lulls at Margies.

It features Bobby Martinez doing a number of backhand whacks, Nathanial Curran doing a few hops and turns, and the man who shapes the boards, Britt Merrick roadtesting the craft he so eloquently constructs.

The craft of choice here is the Ultra Joe. It’s short, fat, and very forgiving. No it’s not that regrettable one night stand from a few months back. It’s just a board that’s easy to ride whether the waves are shitty, or you’re just shitty at surfing them.
