An Italian Teen Charges Pipe

Ever think you’d see an Italian teen look this calm in North Shore waters? Rome doesn’t necessarily jump to mind when you think of surfing. But, Roman born Leo Fioravanti makes a strong case for the contrary. This past winter, Leo snapped his back at pipe. Only 17 years old, the youngin has been in hard recovery mode for a few months now, with hopes of hitting the water where he left off, which apparently means bombs at Pipe and Backdoor, and serious layback jams (see 1:00, please).
