Alex Gray, Mex tubes

You know this spot in Mex. It’s where Bruce Irons and Nathan Fletcher do plenty of time. It’s where Brad Domke cut his teeth for riding big tubes without fins. Jamie O’Brien is a regular here, too. It’s the place where towing is still acceptable and inside this clip are some extraordinary displays of tuberiding. This clip doesn’t feature any paddling but it’s worth the price of admission for the wave at 1.56 alone: that high line is quite extraordinary. There’s also some additional acting added into this clip with Al wearing a sombrero on the streets, too. It will probably make you feel as awkward as the locals watching, like roaming the streets of Sydney with an akubra on playing a didgeridoo or getting your girlfriend to take photos of you making calls from a red telephone booth in London.
