A Lesser Known Hawaiian’s Home And Indo Recap

Around a year ago, Braiden Maither sent Morgan Williamson an email with a clip and a brief, accompanying bio. Neither of us had heard of him, but after setting aside 10-minutes to watch his clip, we were surprised we hadn’t come across his name sooner and surprised to stumble upon a decent clip amongst the inbox clutter. 

At the time Braiden was unsponsored, just had his entire quiver stolen from his car and was enduring a Hawaiian winter. A year later Braiden has his board stock replenished, gets the odd gear hook-up here or there, and judging from this clip scored a few waves around home and Indo over the winter. 

“Sitting through summers in Hawaii can make you go a little stir crazy so I threw this together to reminisce. Tried to watch a few heats of the Us Open and it inspired me even more [laughs].” Braiden said about this latest clip.

It’s a surf-filled edit with little in the way of distracting lifestyle footage or introductory sections. It’s all shot around Braiden’s home in the Hawaiian Islands with a brief trip to Indo intermixed throughout the edit. These consistent spots mixed with Braiden’s pragmatic style make for worthy Sunday viewing if you need something to excite you beyond the live-streamed Huntington slop.
