A Big Night In Austin Just Might Stop Dion Agius From Making Stab High
“Can’t promise anything.”
Last year at Stab High, a sizable portion of the athletes surfers were dusty for the day of the event.
That’s thanks to a not-so-impromptu party on the poolside deck the night before the comp, which featured all of your favorite punters sinking their fair share of EtOH. Luckily the event didn’t kick off till after midday, giving them the time to nurse themselves back to semi-coherency before Round 1.
Some, like the eventual first and second place finishers, Noa Deane and Chippa Wilson, fought off their pains with a few cold tins between rounds. Hair of the dog is best served chilled not combed.
Meanwhile, after delivering a most impressive performance in the prior day’s warm-ups, Dion Agius failed to connect with anything meaningful in the main event. While the previous day, Dion stood out performance-wise, on the day of the event, Dion basked in the rays of pure fun. He even had a few local gals toting on his every move. As far as the webcast’s extracurriculars went, the gent stole the show.
Dion will be looking to rectify those mistakes in 2019; but most importantly, he’ll be in Waco for another round of Stab High.
Tickets for Stab High are on sale now.
