What Do Chippa Wilson, Lee Wilson, and Robbie Rickard Have In Common?
Come find out this Thursday night at the Coolangatta Sands Hotel.
Despite their likenesses in style and namesake, Chippa Wilson and Lee Wilson are not related.
But if the Wilsons were brothers, Robbie Rickard would be their cold, grumpy uncle, constantly reminding them that tricks are for kids and real surfing happens on the face.
While we haven’t yet seen Brixton’s new Apotek film, we hope (and assume) that this is the story’s main conflict. Two air guys and one staunch proponent of the rail. Angels v. demon.
According to the Webster Merriam Dictionary, the word ‘apotek’ does not exist.
According to Brixton and filmmaker Shane Fletcher, ‘apotek’ means “a state of numb consciousness.”
Tough to say who’s right in this instance, but feel free to spark the debate this Thursday, April 11th at the Coolangatta Sands Hotel, where the Brixton team will be premiering Apotek, along with a free show from La Lune and The Lonesome.
