Thanks to the overwhelming support of Vans and Monster Energy, we’ve released this year’s Stab High on our YouTube as opposed to it living behind our paywall. While we love our Premium Members so much that it physically hurts, the surfing our competitors laid down over the course of their stay in Costa Rica was too good to keep under lock and key.
You’ve watched as the 18 male contestants and 6 Vans Ladybirds reckoned with thousands of beach break closeouts, landing hundreds of airs in the process. Nevertheless, the field has been whittled down to 5 male finalists. Stab High, Non-Chorine winner Ian Crane, 2018 Monster Air winner Eithan Osborne, Parker Coffin, Matt Meola, and Robby McCormick spent their final day in Costa Rica duking it out, putting their 20 combined appendages on the line with the hopes of walking away as the official 2021 Vans Stab High Central America, presented by Monster Energy Champion. Alas, walking away at all could be seen as a victory.
Several of our competitors did not.
How (and why) to judge
Stab Premium members will be deciding the winner of this year’s Stab High final, which we think is an incredibly fitting end to our biggest Stab High to date. And the best judge of the bunch will win a 3-board quiver from Channel Islands (more info on that here).
