Want A Free Testing Session At Scotland’s Wavegarden Pool?

European Premium Members, rejoice.

With a population of about 500,000 and an average temperature of 4.4 C (40 deg F), the capital of Scotland sits about an hour and a half drive from the Atlantic.

Just 10 minutes from Edinburgh airport, however, sits one of Europe’s most consistent waves.

Lost Shore Surf Resort opened in 2024, and has quietly been pumping out some of Europe’s finest artificial waves, courtesy of Wavegarden’s technology.

This week, Wavegarden will be testing a handful of new waves in the pool, and they want you to be there. Reportedly, they’ll be running 50 hours of air waves (2,000 waves total) between Monday and Friday.

They’re similar ramps to what we used in Stab High Sydney, with some new ones mixed in too. Worth noting, that was widely considered the most approachable/high percentage ramp in Stab High history.

£10 a ramp. This could be you.

A handful of European pros will be there for testing, and there will be public hours available at a massive value to customers.

Per Lost Shore:
Public hours available: £80 pounds per person per hour. 5 surfers per session. Ramp Every 70 seconds. 10+ ramps apiece. Only rights.

That’s $10USD per ramp, which compared to the private hour rates you’d pay to hit pretty much any other artificial ramp in the world, is pennies on the dollar.

And, despite being located in one of the most frigid climates on the planet, next week has some particularly good weather (and winds) forecasted. (Mostly) sunny days, highs in the 50s.

Long for pool time? Fill out that form below.

Also, for those of you who don’t know how to do airs, the pool has said that Dr. Brendon Ferrier may make an appearance — a man who literally has a PhD in the biomechanics of aerial surfing. His expertise has led to collaborations with Surfing Australia and currently Scottish Surfing, where he serves as Head of Performance Support.

On top of purchasing sessions, we’re throwing in some free hours for our Premium Members. That’s you. The first three Premium Members to respond and fill out the survey below will score three free hours in the pool on Friday, the 6th, with a maximum of five people in the water across the entire session.

Interested? Here’s the breakdown:

12:00–15:00 on Friday, 6th

  • Arrive from 11:00 to get settled and ready, then enjoy hitting the ramp for three hours straight.
  • Board demo offering available, including boards from Bell Surfboards, Christian Bradley, and Firewire, so you can properly test a few different setups across the session.
  • Free coaching.
  • Free lunch.

That’s pretty much it. If you fill out the survey, make sure you’re free to go, otherwise, you’ll just be wasting a spot that could’ve gone to another Premium Member. Go forth and survey.
