The Vans Triple Crown begins

And we’re in. The 30th Anniversary Vans Triple Crown of Surfing kicked off today with the Reef Hawaiian Pro, a $250k event that’s kinda awesome despite not being a Dream Tour event. Standouts today included Nathan Hedge (trying to re-qualify after a two-year hiatus), Cory Lopez (back after a four month ankle injury) and Mason Ho (double tuberide to aerial, thanks). Tomorrow will see men like Dane Reynolds, Tanner Gudauskas, Nat Young, Jack Freestone and Occy in the water, so, probably don’t miss it if you can help it.
