The Olympics Could Run In Some (Very) Scary Conditions Tomorrow
Not the good kind of scary. Our picks inside.
“Call at 10:15 for a potential noon start,” was the most surprising text I received today.
Everyone around the Teahupo’o village had assumed the contest would be off on Wednesday, on account of, well, this:

After the unscheduled glory that went down yesterday, perhaps the IOC is using George Costanza’s time-proven method of, “whatever Surfline thinks we should do, we’ll do the exact opposite.”
Or maybe they’re just desperate to get the event done and figure if they run the women’s R16 tomorrow, they can wrap this thing up on Thursday (which looks half-decent).
Whatever the case, pending the call, the men and women will need to prepare themselves mentally and physically to surf tomorrow, which probably means taking a pinch of acid and wrapping yourself in duct tape.
Just ask Ethan Ewing and Connor O’Leary.

If the women do run tomorrow, it will be full-blown survival mode. Getting tubed is bonus, getting out alive is the goal.
Unfortunately, I placed my women’s bets on Monday thinking they were going to run in pumping waves after the men. As a result, I may have over-leveraged myself on a few specialized tub bunnies.
In the conditions forecasted, I wouldn’t mind betting on all the dogs.
Here’s who I’ve got on betonline.ag. Woof woof.
