Here’s How YOU Can Ride Kelly Slater’s Wavepool
“The suspense is terrible! I hope it’ll last.”
When Kelly Slater unveiled the technological wonder that is his wave pool back in December the immediate question was, “When can I ride it?”
Well folks, the time is now…sort of. The conjurer of the Wizard Sleeve has organized a contest a la Wonka and the golden ticket.
“Funny enough, that’s my favorite movie,” chides the champ.
Here’s the deal: Kelly and WSL PURE, the philanthropic wing of the WSL, are raising money for ocean health, research, education, and advocacy. For every donation over ten dollars, you’ll be entered to win a trip for you and a pal to beautiful Lemoore, California, for two days and two nights of endless shredding (when the water settles) at the Surf Ranch.
“I’ve had more requests than any one person can field or imagine about the Surf Ranch,” says the champ. “I am excited to be giving away the chance of a lifetime to whoever wins these tickets. I’m inviting a few pros to join us. So the winner will get to come hang at Surf Ranch for a few days and share waves and get tips from some of the best surfers in the world.”
Perfect man-made waves, bonfires with Kelly and his crew, 48 hours in the bastion of stoke that is California’s Central Valley. It can all be yours. Just be sure and get your donations in by September 12.
