The 2013 Quiksilver Pro, France (part two)

All you really need to know about day two of the Quiksilver Pro, France is: Gabriel Medina. And, his two monstrous backside roters, which scooped him 18.17 points over Trav Logie’s 17.37 (which would’ve won the South African most other heats today). “I feel good, I’ve had a couple fun waves,” said Gabs afterwards. “Travis was surfing really good so I decided to concentrate on the air cause it’s fun in those small waves, I’m stoked to make it through. It’s cool to watch the King of the groms too now, those guys are ripping and I can relate, I won here a few years ago so it’s really cool to see.” Sebastian Zietz put together the day’s second highest total, a 17.60 combo. Shortly before doing an exquisite pidgin accent, Bass said: “I was definitely scared when I saw him going for the air, but yeah I’m just stoked to get some good waves. This is amazing, anyone complaining with the waves today is kind of crazy, this is by far the best QS I’ve ever surfed, I’m just looking at it that way ! Every single contest on the WCT is better, I’m stoked to be on the tour and stoked on my performance, as long as I don’t get last I’m happy.” With any luck, we’ll be gifted more than seven heats tomorrow. Try your luck here.
