Northern NSW waves threatened by Coal Seam Gas companies
Right now, there’s some real funky shit going down in northern New South Wales. As perennial surfing soul animal spirit and wildly barrel savvy gent, Dave Rasta, explains in this short film by Kaius Potter, Coal Seam Gas companies are currently trying to make their way in, or in more technical terms, rain a shitstorm on everybody’s parade. Rasta explains more eloquently, and passionately, than we ever could… But all you really need to know here is that some of Australia’s best breaks are in danger. And, that there’ll be a peaceful protest on May 19 – something that’s expected to attract 700 riot police. If you’re in any kinda proximity to the area in the coming days, your support could mean that some of those right points you love will hang around longer.
