New life on day one of Pipe Masters
Congratulations to the Irons family on the birth of the newest member of their family, Andy Axel Irons (who was originally to be named Axel Jason). He was born earlier this morning. It’s also the first day of the Billabong Pipe Masters, with the contest running dual heats in some difficult-looking Pipe/Backdoor. An understandably distracted Bruce Irons very nearly missed his heat against Tom Whittaker and couldn’t get it together, falling to Whits by a little over 10 points. More to come soon.
