Meet the WSL class of 2016

Well, it’s safe to say it’s been a strange year. We saw good waves, shit waves, a shark encounter, heroics from Julian Wilson, ups, downs, Kelly without an event win (and’s not retiring maybe because of it), Brazilian dominance, Mick Fanning staying collected in the midst of tragedy and madness, tens, two’s and so much more. Female bikini bottoms are continuing to shrink below the lower back and fresh blood’s coming in white hot for next season. Jack Freestone, Conner Coffin and Ryan Callinan will be a treat to watch in the singlet and we’ve lost Cj Hobgood, Freddy P and Micro to retirement. So without any further wordy-ness here’s your 2016 World Surf League roster: 2015 Top 22 CT: 1. Adriano de Souza 2. Mick Fanning 3. Gabriel Medina 4. Filipe Toledo 5. Owen Wright 6. Julian Wilson 7. Italo Ferreira 8. Jeremy Flores 9. Kelly Slater 10. Nat Young 11. Josh Kerr 12. Bede Durbidge 13. Joel Parkinson 14. John John Florence 15. Wiggolly Dantas 16. Taj Burrow 17. Kai Otton 18.
