Photos From Our Stab In The Dark Premiere Last Night In Costa Mesa

Ok, fine: I tapped this party wrap before our Stab in the Dark 2017 premiere at the Boathouse Collective in Costa Mesa. Because I knew, without a doubt, that today, Stab’s North America contingent would be feeling like we got trampled by horses, or that woman Rosie from that AC/DC song.

So, with no prior knowledge of how the party will go down. This is what (will) transpire(d):

Around 6:30 PM a crowd of invitees will shuffle into the Boathouse Collective. They will drink cocktails. They will eat Poke and fried chicken. A very cute blonde girl with a camera named Victoria will shoot photographs. We will do the same. We will take Instagram stories (You may have already seen them). Oh, and if you haven’t watched the feature film that this party wrap is about, stop reading, and do so now. At 8 PM, we will bring our star, Jordy Smith on stage. Our Editor in Chief, Bilbo Boggans, will ask him questions. Jordy will answer. He will say things like, “shot” and “bru”, surely.

Then, we will show the film. People will ooo. People will awww. Laugh. Cry. Cheer. Scream and shout. When that ends, music will play. Loud. We will dance. We will drink much more, and deservingly. We will forget about our responsibilities. We will forget Friday (today) is a workday. We will celebrate because we’ve been working diligently on this film for the better half of this year.

For a collection of photos of the most beautiful people we know, scroll through the above gallery.

Special thanks to O’Neill, and Futures Fins for making this event possible.
