Kelly Slater Will Be Presenting At The Oscars
The biggest Hollywood x Surf collab since Blue Crush (2003).
11x World Champ Kelly Slater will be presenting at the Oscars on Sunday.
The Oscars will be held on March 27, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The ceremony will begin at 8 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on ABC. The event will be co-hosted by Regina Hall, Amy Schumer, but will see a number of presenters grace the stage among them ‘action sports’ stars, Kelly Slater, Tony Hawk and Shaun White. And another one, DJ Khaled.
The GOAT will join a prestigious list of previous Oscar announcers including: Wesley Snipes, Samuel L. Jackson, Anthony Hopkins, Lady Gaga, Uma Thurman, John Travolta, Woody Harrelson, and more.
The Oscar winners, as determined by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, ‘a global community of more than 10,000 of the most accomplished artists, filmmakers and executives working in film’ will get to take home a 13 ½ inch bronze statuette of a man painted in 24-karat gold. After the ceremony, guest-listers are invited to the after party to powder noses and polish Penfold with Hollywood’s high-rollers.
