Jordy Smith proposes to Lyndall Jarvis; She says yes

This afternoon, Jordy Smith asked his gal, Lyndall Jarvis, to go for a paddle in front of O’Neill marketing director Garth Tarlow’s house. Lyndall found it odd, since she, uh, doesn’t surf, but she went anyhow. They paddled out on an SUP and got into a wave. Once they were up, Jordy told Lyndall to turn around. She spun to find Jordy riding in drop knee, with a ring in his hand and a hopeful smile. Naturally, Lyndall freaked out and flipped the board. Jordy lost the ring momentarily, but recovered again after a moment of panic. You can bet the ring is goddamn big, but Jords swears it ain’t a blood diamond. He’d paddled out with it lodged under his watch, tucked under his wetsuit. “Today I asked my best friend and the love of my life to be my wife,” Jordy wrote on social media afterwards. “How stoked am I. Introducing the future Mrs Smith…” Lyndall also took to social media to share the news with her pals: “Today is the best day of my life!! My love, my best friend and my partner in crime asked me to be his wife!!! #ISAIDYES #futuremrssmith.” Jordy has an exquisite crib, solid contract, and now also has his dream girl. Which means he can focus on a world title. But, don’t expect any little Jordys to be running around for a while. Stab offers proverbial popping of champagne for the happy couple.
