Gallery: Outtakes from The Right, WA

All photos by Russell Ord You’ll remember last week when we took Mark Mathews and Taj Burrow to The Right in WA to attempt the best surf photograph ever taken. The two gents ended up inside a wave that was hard to ignore and, well, you saw the footage. But they weren’t the only ones in the lineup. There was also Tai ‘Buddha’ Graham, who was running water safety for the shoot but couldn’t resist steaming through a few barrels himself once the double-up was wrapped. Then there were the locals, the men who surf The Right every time it’s on, and know the wave better than anyone… and go harder than anyone, like Chris Ross, Chris Shanahan, Myron Porter and more. This is a gallery that shows what was going on between Taj and Mark’s waves, delivered by one of WA’s most talented photographers, Russell Ord.
