Bruno Santos Just Won The Trials Of The Billabong Pro, Tahiti
Earns a place in the main event along with Tahitian wildcard Hira Teriinatoofa.
In conditions better than the previous day, yet far from the heart-stopping form we are used to, Bruno Santos has defeated Nathan Hedge at Teahupoo in the trials of the Billabong Pro, Tahiti. The Brazilian now secures an opportunity to challenge the world’s best at the tour’s most exciting stop when the official window opens August 19th. After winning the whole damn thing in 2008 he’ll certainly pose a threat to the extended CT clan.
“Teahupoo is like my second home,” Bruno said in a post-heat interview. “It’s a pleasure to be here.”
