Alfan Goes Back-To-Back At Quiksilver Air Show
“The world needs to know who this kid is.”
On Thursday night, a clip landed in my inbox from Brad Flora of Thrash Craft Surfboards — a young surfer out of Lakey Peak boosting a proper stalefish.
His name is Alfan.
Thrash Craft had recently put him on the team and flew him to Bali.
“We flew him over, set him up with a quiver, and he goes and does this on his first wave on a board he’s never ridden,” says Brad. “His name is ALFAN… no last name.”
The boards appear to be working.

Over the weekend, Alfan went and won the Quiky Air Show at Canggu river mouth for the second consecutive year, beating the likes of Bronson Meydi, Oney Anwar, Ian Crane, and Rajo Barrel, to name a few.
Last year, he won on a borrowed board.
“The kid is so gnarly,” says Brad. “Amazing human who came from nothing. So stoked to have him on the team, and proud of him for being who he is. I want to do everything I can to get him on the map.”
Hopefully a b2b Air Show win gets him there, and he can enter one-name territory alongside Rihanna, Zendaya, Drake, Bono, etc.
Alfan. Remember the name.
