In a recent Instagram post, Albee Layer exposed the contents of his heart, declaring to over 100k followers that he and professional skate starlet Nora Vasconcellos (AKA @noravexplora, 300k+ followers) have formed a romantic coupling, but in the most Albee way possible.

“A lot of surfers claim to be skate groupies, but I’m the only one with real follow-through,” was Albee’s sarcastic vehicle for this message, which he then paired with an “#IGofficial” hashtag.

Stab: How long have you and Nora been “hanging,” as the kids call it?
Albee Layer: We’ve been hanging for a while, but just as friends, then we ended up dating kinda out of nowhere.

She did. 

What’s your favorite thing about Nora?
My favorite thing about her is the color purple [laughs]… nah, she’s one of the funniest people I’ve ever met.

Does it suck or rule to have a girlfriend who’s cooler and more famous than you?
It rules having a girlfriend who’s better and more successful than me. My five-year plan of becoming a stay-at-home dad/part-time big-wave surfer/mountain bike enthusiast is well under way.
