Mason Ho Locks Into Team FCS
A minor news announcement including a minute-plus of Mason’s aquatic antics.
Mason earns some new rudders for his boards.
The brother to Coco and nephew to Derek Ho is one of surfing’s more vibrant characters and he’s kicked off his 2018 by joining forces with the FCS Global Team. A move which means free fins, leashes and stickers, and Mason is wrapped:
“It’s been my childhood dream to be on the FCS team. As a kid I used to collect all the FCS fin templates like baseball cards. In my eyes, the equipment is top of the line and the most durable I’ve used, so I’m stoked.”
Mason likes surfing ankle deep reefs and rock-hopping wedges, so it’s probably handy for him to be able to clip in his next set of fins when the current set succumb to the inevitable. If he designs his own signature fins, it’s probably safe to assume they’ll be made from the latest in rock and coral resistant technology.
Understandably, former CT surfer and brand ambassador, Richie Lovett is also stoked to have the young Hawaiian excitement on board:
“I’m such a big fan of Mason for so many reasons, and I’m proud to have him in the team mix. His talent on a board is one thing, but his zest for life is infectious and he has so much respect and knowledge of surfing’s history. Deep down I think we’re all a little envious of his life”.
Mason will be joining the tour-heavy contingent of FCS surfers including Gabriel Medina, Julian Wilson and Filipe Toledo. Let’s hope to see him gain a few WSL wildcards this year, because there’s never a dull heat or interview when young Mase is around town.
