Kolohe Andino and Griffin Colapinto Make Bad Hawaii Look Damned Good
On “magic” new Mayhem fishes!
It’s been almost 25 years since Mayhem took Chris Ward’s direction to make something like an MR Twin, and the resulting film, 5’5″ x 19 1/4″, sent shapers the world over scrambling to find decent fish outlines and twin fin templates.
A quarter century later, Matt’s still being asked about the fucking boards, and though he’d rather not rehash the same old fish tale, he’s never grown bored building variations on the design. Most recently, Matt introduced his current Round Nose Fish incarnation, the RNF Redux, in Lib Tech’s proprietary tech (which you can geek on here), and tossed a few under his current San Clemente stallions, Griffin Colapinto and Kolohe Andino, both of whom returned claiming the tough new composite sleds were absolutely “magic” at making sense of mess North Shore mush, and nearly indestructible under standard use and abuse.
Click in to the edit above, set to the classic D.I. track, “O.C. Life” off Ancient Artifacts, which again we’ll challenge readers to recall what …Lost film the track originally played…
