Yadin Nicol was a standout at the Billabong Pipe Masters in 2012. He took down men who were not easy to take down (Matt Wilkinson, Taj Burrow, Gabriel Medina), he posted huge scores (10!). But, he eventually lost to event runner-up Josh Kerr, in a heat that he needed to win to requalify for the world tour. The result meant that he’ll now spend 2013 as a replacement on the world tour.
But that don’t mean he won’t get a start. And, it don’t mean we won’t see him throwing heat like this in photos, clips, movies, and hopefully contests. This northern LA slice, strong and controlled, is the kinda thing everyone loves Yades for.
