“He was getting burned by fucken everyone,” says photog Damea Dorsey of Kelly Slater’s recent D-Bah session.  “(Joel) Parko, Taylor (Knox), it was super funny. They were all like ‘Alright 10-time guy, I’m gonna burn you!'”

This photo, shot by Damea at Duranbah on the Gold Coast of Australia, was taken the morning after the ASP Banquet. Along with this shot, Damea also captured Joel Parkinson pushing through a tunnel right in front of Kelly, after dropping in on him on a running right-hander. There’s very few surfers in the world who’d dare drop in on Kelly Slater. Taylor, who like the champ is also 39 and one of the two oldest guys on tour (the other being Kelly himself), is one of the select few who’d fade the champ. In this instance, Taylor certainly seems to have taken no notice of Kelly or his extended finger, regardless of the power a 10-time world champ can wield in the lineup.
