Taj Burrow, Below the Chopper at Cloudbreak, Fiji

Another moment from our Cloudbreak heli-shoot last week. While Chris ‘Chippa’ Wilson strokes over the shoulder, Taj Burrow approaches the (Insert cliche: “Poor, unsuspecting”) lip for a tail-whipping. Excitable man that he is, Taj claimed the week he spent in Fiji to be the best of his life, as well as labelling the chopper footage Riley Blakeway shoot as the best he’s ever seen. No doubt the Telstra Drug Aware Pro, Margaret River, is now the best contest he’s ever competed in; in case you haven’t heard yet, Taj locked in a perfect 10-point ride yesterday against Jules Wilson and Michel Bourez. Big claims or not, it’s that kinda enthusiasm that’s kept Taj Burrow at the top of the game for oh, so long.
