Ain’t too often you see someone other than Kelly Slater doing one of those. A Lien Wheelie may not be the most purdy-lookin thing, but there’s something awesome about the unorthodox motion of it. Pat Gudauskas, pictured here, blasted this on the first section of his second scoring ride this morning at the Nike 6.0 Lowers Pro. Gabriel Medina won the heat with two big frontside air-revs, (‘big’ considering the wave size and power), but Pat managed a second place behind the Brazilian. Sixteen of round one’s 24 heats were run this morning, with competition resuming tomorrow, pending conditions. Y’can check out the live feed here.
