Despite it’s ominous name, The Other Side can really throb like a heart. Just look at this tunnel Mick Fanning’s standing in. From his vantage on the breakwall, photog Andy Potts saw Mick belt past on a ski and knew it was on. However, so too did the numerous other photogs that’d shown. Strip away the fullsuit, pump up the wave size, darken the water a coupla shades, and this could well be another famously acronym’d spot – Off The Wall, Hawaii. Despite the amount of paparazzi floating around, there were no run-ins during the session. Even when Mick’d pull into tunnels like this and every photog in the lineup scrambled for their, scuse the pun, shot at glory.
