Hawaiian Keanu Asing’s got power for a 17-year-old. He’s in a similar league to guys like Kekoa Bacalso, who are of a more solid build and use their strength accordingly. The beauty of his kind of surfing lies in the style and flow of a frame that would seemingly lack fineness. It ain’t all rail-game though, and Keanu’s as handy above the lip as he is below it. Keanu’s heading to Australia for the second World Pro Junior event early next year, held at North Sydney’s Narrabeen.
