Kai Otton, South Curl Curl, NSW
As the sun withdraws its long, warm arms from the east of Australia in the evening, and disappears into the west, the coast can turn kinda bleak (but usually only when it’s winter). Like this image of Kai Otton, shot at South Curl Curl on Sydney’s north side recently. Blaise Bell fired-off his Canon 50D (with 100-400mm lens attached) just before dark, which can be a tough time to shoot, as the light changes so quickly. The resounding photograph shows not only an awesome aerial, but also Kai silhouetted against a white, cold sky. Pretty killer.
