The board Jules chose to ride today certainly worked out well for him. He won his round one heat against Alejo Muniz and tour newcomer Miguel Pupo convincingly, scooping the day’s highest combined heat total of 17.60. His two scoring waves, an 8.93 and 8.67, were the two highest of the day. The swell outlook for the rest of the waiting period is kinda grim at this point, so we can only hope something happens to avoid slipping into a local boardrider’s club vibe.
