Julian Wilson, playing the hometown hits, Sunshine Coast

Oh, to be young and charmed, and to watch a swell inflate your homebreak in summer. Like a band playing a hometown show after touring the world’s most exotic venues, or somewhere thereabouts, Julian Wilson has been on the Sunshine Coast between Pipeline and Snapper and he has been delighting in the rush of waves the area’s been scooping. Surfing around the clock, as it were, and in the later hours of the clock is where we find him in this photograph, clicking a frontside hit that’s kinda bread-and-butter, but with a lot of extra butter. The short lived clip we published yesterday, if you had a chance to see it, showed a very in-form Julian, who’ll be a pleasure to watch on the webcast come March 2.
